Distribution Warehouse Coordinator

We are recruiting – we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and adaptable person to join our team as soon as possible for at least 4 months and to help manage our Free Shop and Warehouse as we try to provide NFIs for all of the new arrivals reaching the island of Chios.

As  one of our two Distribution Warehouse Coordinators you will work closely with and report to the Field Coordinator. You will share responsibility for

  • the management of the free shop,
  • other distributions,
  • daily operations of the warehouse,
  • management of volunteers,
  • the maintenance of a safe environment for all users of the building and surrounding outdoor area.

Our current projects include:

– Working in our Free Shop and Side Shop serving refugees and asylum seekers in Chios;

– Sorting donations at the warehouse and sending supplies to other organisations;

– Undertaking distributions of necessary items outside of Vial camp (depending on capacity and availability)

The situation on Chios is constantly changing, so our projects may be slightly different when you come to volunteer.

Regarding volunteers, we request:

– Fluency in English;

– Flexibility to help wherever is needed;

– Ability to work in teams and ensure a safe and comfortable working space.
